We can agree to disagree on goat.
You appear to be a solid poster but don’t play yourself like this.
Don’t pretend Floyd post his hand injury retirement fought like that his whole career. You lose all integrity when you do.
Margs at 151 wasn’t a risk. Hatton post Floyd wasn’t a risk. ODH at 147 wasn’t a risk. Cotto was a risk, mitigated a bit by 145.
All I am asking is that the same standard be used to evaluate every boxer equally.
If boxer A didn’t fight boxer B and it’s called a duck, cool. Don’t them get mad when other posters call it a duck when boxer A is manny. I think that is fair. Do you?
Floyd fought differently when he returned from his hand injury. No question. You think the Shane fight was how a wimp fights? Stop it dude.
Maybe you are not who I thought. I see you’re a new poster. Were you banned for racism?Comment

I believe you agreed with your fellow knob gobbler that Manny fought differently after JMM khtfo. Tells me that fighting differently really isn’t a big deal.
Using Manny fighting differently to excuse losing to Floyd and Horn are just excuses imo. Same as bad socks.
You are diverting this thread into a Floyd thread. I will no longer participate in that. If you have something relative to the thread title, I might respond.Comment

If you recall, some thought Oscar was going to do bodily harm on Pacquaio because he was just too big. That was a huge risk. But that was the magic of Manny, to make easy work out of high level threat. Margarito was still a danger, heck, Floyd even dodged him for over a year and an $8m payday. Floyd never would go near Margarito and was caught on video showing cowardice to the face of Margarito who confronted him at Oscar vs Mayorga. Floyd was never really extraordinarily impressive after 147, really just basic, one two, pitter patter, safety sparring. He just didn't have the potatoes to dare to try a firefight with any welters. Good fighter don't get me wrong but severely overrated and carefully packaged and protected. Cotto with Arum when he was unbeaten was the Cotto he should have fought, not the one coming off losses and value loss, and needing the Floyd payday. Mosley was coming off the costly divorce and loss of value/leverage, well suited and compromised to be a B side sparring partner for the mega payday from Floyd. Why wasn't Hatton a risk post Floyd? Did you know Floyd tried to rematch Hatton but Hatton opted to challenge Pacquiao instead. Hatton's father revealed this info in Boxing News UK magazine. Floyd actually tried to handpick Hatton, a non threat as you say, a second time. Instead of fighting prime Pacquiao a first time.
No Margs wasn’t. He had got ktfo by Shane at 154 and barely beat Garcia. He was also drained down to 151, not a full 154. He also no longer could use his plaster.
Yawn. He fought Baldomir for the title then went up to ODH at a full 154. Only manny stans criticize this.
Why would he fight in a way that he could lose? That makes absolutely no sense.
Go see what Bob said about them fighting after he beat Brussels who was also trained by Cotto’s dad.
Got it. So when Floyd wins and didn’t fight as a wimp as stated, you find a way to denigrate Mosley. lol.
Hatton wasn’t because he got ktfo and was coming down in weight.
I haven’t seen this. I am sure you have a legit link to show it.
I see you ignored the part about how Floyd fought prior to the hand injury pre Hatton. At least have some credibility and integrity and admit it.Comment

Pacquiao did not really lose to Floyd or Horn, the judges said so. Arum probably manipulated the judges to give it to Horn so he could pass that title on to Crawford, as Arum was having difficulty getting Manny to fight Crawford. As Manny knew Arum's long term plans were with Crawford. There was no clear winner in Floyd vs Pacquiao, but of course the Vegas system and the announcers all were heavily biased for Floyd. As we all know, Floyd and Haymon fled from the Pac rematch, the natural next chapter, instead to handpick Berto lol
Flex from the rematch. The fight wasn’t great. Floyd won 10-2, 10-2, 9-3. Why would anyone want a rematch other than Manny fans desperate because he lost in such a way?Comment

You can see the seething disdain and disgust Tyson has for the "very scared little man."
Tyson is a boxing genius and he knows boxing greatness. Tyson rejected Floyd as a great.Last edited by Bennyleonard99; 05-21-2025, 06:44 PM.Comment
