    Forgot Gvozdyk too. Anyway, he waited around for a long time without doing much. He's had a few fights in a few years. He's a good fighter but couldve fought Smith, Yarde, or whoever.

          Shoulve already fought smith, and a couple others. Since he didnt, now is the time, and I dont think he should get the top guy until he does at least that.
          If not David, who deserves it more than him? Besides Canelo (arguable), I can’t think of anyone else that has done more than David to earn a fight against the winner.

            Fair question. Looking at the rankings, he does seem to be the obvious choice, which puts it all in perspective I guess.

            I guess my main irritation is that so many boxers sit around and wait, which he did at 168 for Canelo, but I suppose he has been busier at lhw
