Oracle01great news David would be fighting the best available opponent next

mofo Gervonta snatched the August PPV slot

David should be able to get his first stoppage at 175 against Callum. Buatsi nearly folded Callum with a left to the body

WBC champion David Benavidez and WBO interim beltholder Callum Smith are discussing a deal to duke it out, Matchroom Boxing head and Smith promoter Eddie Hearn said.

“I'm doing more and more business with PBC. My relationship with Luis DeCubas is really helping that, so much so that Callum Smith and David Benavidez is a fight that we are negotiating now,” Hearn told the media following a Thursday press conference announcing The Ring III card scheduled for July 12 in New York.

Benavidez’s father and trainer, Jose Benavidez Sr., told The Ring they’re anticipating a return in the fall and are not solely tying down themselves to Smith.

We are looking at different options and are trying to come back in October,” he said.

Solid fight. Immediately after this we need the winner of Bivol-Beterbiev to fight him next.

Callum is David's breakout bout that will sell David's subsequent fight

Benny hasnt done enough. He fought plant and morrell. Am i missing a third fight in the last few years?

Shoulve already fought smith, and a couple others. Since he didnt, now is the time, and I dont think he should get the top guy until he does at least that.

He's had 2 fights at 175 and fought quality guys like gvodzk and morrell. Should have already fought Smith? Smith wasn't relevant until now. Revisionist history. If he fought him before he would just be a cherry pick I'm sure and he should hsvd fought some other guy

Yes you missing Andrade, an undefeated 2 division champion he fought on PPV and stopped. I love how Canelo fans harp on about Lara and Trout as big wins, when they were regular belt champions but apparently Andrade does not even count as a good win for David. lol.

Oh yeah, that guy. What's that, like 1 fight per year?

I'm not sure if the other thing was directed at me, but I'm not a "Canelo fan" and I dont "harp on about Lara and Trout as big wins". So I don't know why that's included in the reply.
