He never had any resistance in the first place. His entire paper belt reign was nothing but shot 38-41 yr olds & cans. Dubois was the first prime puncher he's ever faced, Ruiz doesn't even have a punch just fast hands & even he put Aj into bambi mode.

Now that AJ got blown out by Dubois, has had a bit of a layoff, and is getting surgery, Fury is ready to accept the fight again. IMO AJ’s team shouldn’t accept it without a tuneup, but if AJ blows someone out in the tuneup Fury would ghost them again.
      Lies! Why lie?
Fury yes indeed offered the contract, you fail to mention the contract was returned by Edward demanding commercial control & Aside status against the then lineal & wbc champ. That is why we got Del boy.
Aj has always blocked the 2 biggest fights hes never had with money. QUACK! .....Looked good with yes man davidson pmsl against more shot old men & whytes sloppy 2nds, gtfoh.
You a Kanye fan boy or a Fury hater? I don't like either.

Canelo vs Benavidez/Bud would definitely be bigger in America but I dunno about globally. I feel like the boxing scene has fragmented into being more regional in a post-Floyd world.

At 35 aj is at least 3 years younger than most of his so called big name 38-41 yr old opponents & he's considered shot, what does that say for them?... They were all old & slow with 6 rounds in them.
After Usyk, Aj already turned down the Fury fight returning the contract demanding Aside status & commercial control (that's why we got del boy) & now they're begging.

I hope Fury stays retired & we should leave the cross fit part time boxer to age himself out completely whilst Edward tries to keep him relevant with his bullshido!

            possibly yes

i cant see how much interest there would be in fury joshua in the states tho, could be wrong, but i think canelo benny would have been HUGE, i mean everyone wanted that fight but that ship has sailed as well

wilder joshua when it should have happened would have been very big as well i think

He does, but he doesn't have a dance partner commercially. Joshua and Fury are both commercial juggernauts still so together will create a huge event. And they know it.

But did they? Who was talking about it outside forums/social media? I don't think it's a crossover event as Benavidez is still relatively unknown.

Unfortunately I think you are correct!

Lets not all forget the "negotiating tactics" for Fury vs Usyk 1.
That fight was basically dead because of Fury until Turki stepped in at the last minute!
