Why all the hate on Barrios?

Fair enough...he's not the greatest fighter ever to grace the ring....but hes a world champion....a feat many thousands of boxers never even get close to. Is it because its Pacquiao...and folks are trying to depreciate him in order to oversell the competiveness of what should be a fairly simple win in his favor....or is it a ploy to undermine his confidence?

If pac beats barrios he is unarguably goat. Look at the average guys srl.was losing to, but srl was excused for whatever reason.

      No hate.

He is just an avarage fighter that benefited from extremely weak welterweight era. After losing to Tank and past prime Thurman he somehow managed to get himself into position to become WBC titlist.

Even more, now he will get his big pay day against pure ATG fighter Pacquiao. Should he win ( I think Barrios will win), he will probably get another big pay day against Ennis.

Good for him. Again, no hate. I must actually congradulate him.

I'm with Jake. No hate. Its just that he lost to Tank and then got a belt and has done nothing since then. It seems like he's had a belt for years, and how many times has he fought since then?

Maybe he's confident but extremely lazy, but instead it looks like his team expects him to lose to decent opp and has been waiting to cash out.

Definitely no hate. He's a good fighter but in many other eras or divisions, he probably wouldn't a belt holder. He was dropped and nearly beaten by Abel Ramos in his last fight.
