Thanks JOMS. So, they gave them both 10 points for the 8th because the fight was stopped AFTER the 7th?

is boxing " dirty " sure it is .... is Boxing controled by the dollar ? Sure it is....... Should Boxing be more regulated in some form then it is right now ? No doubt..... will it ever happen ? Nope.....Would it improve Boxing or take something away from Boxing if it were more regulated.... it would do both. Government controls on the NFL or the MLB ? ? I am lost on that one but they are better at hiding there dirt then Boxing is or ever has been. i get what you are saying about some type of " National Commision " or the like but Boxing is a strange animal that has been left alone to fester in its own way, Why is that i do not know, but that is true. No other sport has stood alone with the Middle Finger held higher then Boxing has and still made money and helped a lot of others make a lotta money who never would have without the fight game. From a street fighter to Don King or even Arum with his lawyer ways, all have made more then ever were it not for the fights.

Doctor stopped the fight due a cut caused by a punch, it's a ****ing TKO. No contest? on what basis? just inventing rules as we go now? Vegas wont be happy.

i had su****ions about Jack Reiss when he voiced his opinions on the Tank Davis taking a knee fiasco, he had the audacity to say it's the ref's discretion whether or not to call it a knock down. No you dumb ****, it's a KD because he took a knee. The fighter can't just take a break whenever he wants. If he needs a break, and takes a knee, he loses a point. It's that simple.

Point of my rant, Jack Reiss is a company man now, don't bet on him to err on the side of the B-side fighter in a fight (Roach, and now Suarez)

They don't even have access to every camera angle for these super important replays?

they scored round 8 10-10, which is ridiculous and pointless

I get what you are saying, but when it was originally called a clash of heads, and then later upheld as such by video review, that provided enough basis.

You cant retroactively change it, because we have to assume that Navarette (or any fighter in that position) wouldve fought differently for the following round had they known the cut was deemed caused by a punch, and the ref could stop the fight due to it.

This is one of those ex-post-facto type of events, since the decision was open (unlike, say, scorecards), you cant retroactively flip the decision. But a no contest is fair in this regards.

Simple it's basic boxing rules - the referee called time AFTER the bell sounded only one (1) second into round 8. Hence, no matter how short once the round has begun it must be scored - since there's no action 10-10 ... which totally makes sense unless you're not familiar with the rules.

Absolutely correct! Do people in here think critically? This is obvious.

doesn't matter who's ahead in the scorecards.
if a doctor stopped the fight due to a cut caused by a punch, that's a tko.
