Jim Lampley: "He {Floyd} doesn't have the mentality to throw combinations anymore"

Well, he doesn't really throw combinations any more, just one punch at a time.
But, I never realized that hatton was actually hitting floyd pretty well early in the fight, he was winning. If he didn't throw so wide and ****** he probably would have won the fight. But thats part of boxingComment

Hatton was never winning the fight. Even in the first round Floyd landed the better shots. He was knocked off balance with a jab but that doesn't win him the round IMO. I gave Hatton 2 rounds at most. He hit nothing but elbows.Well, he doesn't really throw combinations any more, just one punch at a time.

That's the thing! He doesn't have to risk opening up when he's winning rounds. Paul Williams' activity might force him to open up. Unlikely fight at the moment though.Comment

I agree that you know more about boxing than Jim Lampley and that it is merely a quirk of fate that you are posting on a message board instead of calling HBO bouts.Comment
