I honestly think Lampley knows very little about boxing despite years of doing fights.

It's amazing he's so bad at calling blow by blow in fights.

He likes to say ****** dramatic stuff.

Well, he doesn't really throw combinations any more, just one punch at a time.

But, I never realized that hatton was actually hitting floyd pretty well early in the fight, he was winning. If he didn't throw so wide and ****** he probably would have won the fight. But thats part of boxing

Hatton was never winning the fight. Even in the first round Floyd landed the better shots. He was knocked off balance with a jab but that doesn't win him the round IMO. I gave Hatton 2 rounds at most. He hit nothing but elbows.

That's the thing! He doesn't have to risk opening up when he's winning rounds. Paul Williams' activity might force him to open up. Unlikely fight at the moment though.

It's amazing how much thicker Mayweather got during his layoff. He looked much fuller against Marquez and I think he is stronger now.

I noticed that to, in the weigh in against Marquez, can't say I wasn't stunned by his physique.

I agree that you know more about boxing than Jim Lampley and that it is merely a quirk of fate that you are posting on a message board instead of calling HBO bouts.
