AA's getting alot of acclaim right now, and yet Pavlik is treated as a joke on this forum these days.
Well that's because of the Hopkins fight.

Man, dead this ****, Winky Wright that Hopkins fought was a technical master and was amuch better boxer, punchers aren't what bother Hopkins if that was the case his best wins wouldn't have been against big punchers.

IMO Kessler has no upper body movement at all, pretty robotic. His skills are good, but everything he does Hopkins does better along with give anglen, use his legs more and has better defense, and upperbody movement. Froch would get sonned from start to finish, so woud Abraham.

        Exactly! Spot on my friend.

'Tis true. Not just Abraham's power, though, but the riddle of the man, there are so many deceptions in the way he fights, I'm seeing it descend into a rougher, scrappier affair than you guys.
Hopkins has all the smarts and tools to crack it, i just don't think it would be as pretty or as straight-up convincing as his beatdown of Pavlik.

I don't see Dirrell having much for Hopkins - Dirrell is, I think, a better athlete than Taylor (a fine athlete himself), but less of a boxer ultimately. Ward's my guy in the 6, so I'll stay off that. Hopkins, I reckon, would make a Charlie out of Kessler.

As for Pavlik/Williams. People are saying "well if Pavlik can hurt Williams he will win". It is not that simple. For me it is the question of can Williams hurt Pavlik early. See Pavlik hits hard enough that I can pretty much guarantee he will hurt Williams if he hits him enough. My question is can he weather the Williams storm? Williams puts some steam on everything he throws and he throws a lot. If he can hurt Pavlik, Pav will go into a defensive shell and a loss is guaranteed. If he cannot get Pavliks respect, Pav may go right after him like he did to Miranda and make a real fight of it.

So I am questioning Pavlik's durability more than Williams for this fight. If Williams can sting Pavlik, even a bit, it's game over.

I agree. Williams has also been working on putting his legs into his shots now. Winky has a very good cin, and he was stunned once in the later rounds.
