It's kinda funny....Abraham's best two wins....

were knocking out opponents that Pavlik already knocked out, and for the first time.

AA's getting alot of acclaim right now, and yet Pavlik is treated as a joke on this forum these days.

Btw, this isn't to discredit AA. I might be a Kelly fan but I'll readily admit that Team Pavlik didn't want anything of AA once Pavlik had lost his mojo against Hopkins.

It's a shame we never got to see the fight at MW. Seems to me that AA might be more suited to SMW than at 160, whereas Pavlik is the opposite.

Hopefully it may still happen. It would be one for the ages.

It's why I'm rooting for Paul Williams to break that Top Rank protected fighter in half, so we will get someone with the belts and balls to go with it. Williams said that he'd be willing to fight Abe.

AA attitude of wanting to fight the best coupled with Pavlik's balls being held hostage by Hopkins plays a big part in that.

Hopefully Pavlik can get some confidence back and step up to 168 in time for the end of the tourny so they can fight each other. but i doubt it.

Protected fighter? Maybe it is just me, but I would rather take my chances fighting Abraham over Williams.

Williams-Abraham would be a good fight. I think P-Will could beat him too if he could stand up to his power. The fact that Pavlik is fighting Williams doesn't erase the fact that he ducked Abraham though.

I'm a huge fan of both Pavlik and Abraham, but I agree with this.

Pavlik is underrated, he is no joke.

So you are saying Pavlik himself ducked Abraham? Pavlik might not be a world killer, but he has never struck me as the duck type. Maybe he did suffer confidence and health issues after the Hopkins fight and those around him wanted him to be healthy again. I guess he ducked and was afraid of Mora also?

... I have a feeling that if Pavlik had fought AA, and if he lost... everyone would just say, "Pavlik took the fight too soon. He should of fought AA a couple fights after Hopkins, regain his confidence/stature."

He would've fought Mora if HBO approved it. The only reason he's fighting Paul Williams is because HBO is laying their foot down with him.
