Comments Thread For: David Benavidez?s promoter wants Bivol-Beterbiev winner for May 2026

With the rubber match between Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev likely for the final months of 2025, David Benavidez is expected to return this fall and then will save the date for a clash with the best light heavyweight in the world.

So much for Benavidez fighting in the summer lol

    August is wide open

May is still Cinco de Nelo

I do not see Mexican David becoming the face of boxing

he is a good but not great fighter

Alvarez is a great and better than David

TBud-Alvarez rematch highly likely in May 2026

that takes the May PPV slot

Bivol-Benavidez or Artur-Benavidez would have to be in April or June

        Prepare a big bag than.

Otherwise IBF mandatory first. I don`t believe the winner will drop another belt just like that.

first thing first will Benavidez ko Callum

Will Benavidez do a cleaner job on this severely declined Callum than Alvarez did on a prime Callum

Callum got owned by Tiger Paw Artur

special fighters beat lesser versions of shared opponents better than the predecessor

By beating overmatched guys in Scull, Munguia, Berlanga, Yildrim, 154 Ibs Charlo and a blown up WW makes him greater and better?

This is why I love David Benavidez. He is such a good sport. He and his handlers could have easily pressured the WBC into enforcing his mandatory challenge against Dmitry Bivol by setting a purse bid deadline.

However, he has decided not to do that. He is biding his time by being a patient man and it’s just like that old saying goes “patience” is a virtue. He knows his time will come.

Benavidez Canelo would look like Manny vs Oscar.

You’re not getting the winner scum, you already ran your mouth too much again like you did with Canelo and pissed Turki off, “I’ll never go to Saudi” you closed the door and hurt your fighter again, hopefully he’ll smarten up and get rid of you finally persona non grata

David seems like a dog that caught a card and now doesn't know what to do with that corrupt WBC belt.
