Looks like a pretty good opponent, beat Ra'eese Aleem and TJ Doheny. MJ is pretty good too.

Just personal opinion, this Foster will be too big and too sharp, more so than Castro. I get that he didn't dominantly beat Coincecao but that Brazilian has never been easy to deal with.

Nah, Goodman wasted his time three times with postponements and pull-outs. His plan is
#1 Murodjon Akhmadaliev at 122 to defend the undisputed title
#2 Nick Ball at 126 for the WBA belt
Nakatani at 122

And then back to 126 to try to make a run at undisputed before he retires.

Pretty great run, he takes on all upcomers in their prime unlike modern champions, not his fault that there isn't generational talents in his division outside of Nonito Donaire who he beat twice though of course his first fight is a bigger defining win due to Inoue stepping up in level against a fresher though fading version of the Filipino Flash. Whereas in the rematch his physique acclimated better in the division against a 40 year old version of Donaire.

(Was optional if he was to fight at Super Flyweight, but don't think it's fair to say Rungvisai, Estrada and Gonzalez were ducking just becThinkthey wanted to stick in the same division and fight against other top fighters. Inoue also had about few fights at that point, he wasn't particularly a star yet.)


Think his wins Emmanuel Rodriguez, Luis Nery, Marlon Tapales and Stephen Fulton are his best so far outside of Donaire. But not sure who I can compare them to, they have good records but aren't exactly Hall Of Famers. Perhaps Fulton is?? Not sure, he won a belt in his second division, but difficult to gauge if he beat the same version of Figueroa or if that fighter was too inactive too avoid further damage due to his unlike his brother Omar.

Nonetheless 23 title fights against a large quantity of champions is of unheard of.

Narvaez may get into the HOF, he hasn't been retired long. Made 27 successful title defenses between flyweight and super flyweight. Not the best opposition in the world though, definitely a fringe case. But he was the consensus #1 when Inoue took him out.

I'd be more confident in Fulton's chances if he could punch. I think Fulton has the necessary toughness and he has Bozy in his corner now, so he'll be prepared for war. However, Foster has proven his mettle and he's physically bigger with sneaky power. Foster can fight a bit aloof/indifferent, but he's legitimately dangerous when switched on. I'm not sure if we've seen what Foster is truly capable of yet. It's actually an interesting match-up.

I’m really excited at the prospect of the Nick Ball fight. Neither are scared of taking punches to get theirs off, both super aggressive. Inoue potentially maxing out his weight/size at 122 and Ball is strong as hell at 126. Would be a fan friendly fight whilst it lasts

Ball is also theoretically the safest fight to debut at 126 due to his style and physical dimensions, with Espinoza obviously being the most difficult. Ball/Inoue will be very entertaining.

Oh yeah for sure, Ball was tactically chosen. But I think after moving through that many divisions, it's understandable. Even Mayweather and Pac made smash and grabs into 154 where they didn't belong.

I don't think Ball sees the 6th round to be honest. He's incredibly hittable and his only stoppage at the world level was Doheny, who was moving up in weight and coming off a stoppage loss to Inoue in his previous fight. He couldn't stop Isaac Dogboe, Raymond Ford, or Rey Vargas and I don't think he'll be able to hit Inoue, let alone hurt him.
