Going to be honest I thought Scull won and outboxed Canelo

The dude fought his fight and controlled the pace threw more landed more (don't care what biased stats say). Don't let the laughably bias commentary sway your opinion, Canelo didn't do anything but follow Scull around while here and there missing wide hooks to the body by a mile.

Why is the obligation on Scull to beat Canelo and not also the other way around?

The guy was up against it and did what he does while brought in to be cannon fodder but cement feet has no way of dealing with good boxer movers.

    Alvarez looked awful

no jab plodder with no head movement winging one power punch at a time lol

fought like he had to wait for his stamina bar to recharge

The commentary acted like there is nothing he can do, IDK dude throw more step laterally with him as best as you can while you out work him but he spent much of the fight right in front of Scull looking at him.

Well, Canelo certainly made it look like Bud has a way better chance than I thought, assuming he can handle the weight.

I don’t think Canelo was motivated or trained properly for this fight, he will be a lot better vs Bud. Rooting for Crawford though.

            Alvarez is a case study

His pressure at its best was that of a stalker

He wasn't blessed with the stamina and foot speed to be a swarmer the greatest form of pressure

no overwhelming with punches in bunches

instead it was deliberate strikes to break the opponent down

his limitations made him develop slique upper body on the defensive

we must remember this Scull character was still a cherry-pick despite doing well

hard to root for someone who's recent string of opponents were Charlo-Munguia-Berlanga-Scull

Alvarez lacks dominant win in his biggest fights

rating on ability he's a light great like his mentor de La Hoya

Based on what? Scull came to run and collect his pay. Bud had it tough vs a guy with 10 pro fights, everyone forgotten about that now and the fact it was his only fight above 147lbs

Yeah man I can’t get behind him after his Benavidez duck years.. not that Crawford is easy to root for with his inactivity and sniping the legend Manny
