On paper it was decent but overall turned out to be trash. Only saving grace was tarver and lampley. Should never have staged in times square in front of a non boxing audience. Ortiz vs Charles Martin was a pretty bad PPV.

If you bought Tyson vs Seldon and didn't watch the under card bouts than that would be worse but that's about it.

While the upset could have been huge seeing Garcia enter sparring partner mode after the knock down was awful to watch.

Did James put saltpeter in the water of Garcia for the fight because that's what it looked like from me?

makes a case for a ppw boxing format

        pay per win

instead of picking up a cheque format

I actually enjoyed that PPV although context matters. It was right after the Christmas holiday (coming out of Covid IIRC) and there hasn't been much boxing on. I want to say it only cost $30, it was all heavyweight and the Faust/Kiladze fight was a proper shootout. I didn't feel regret ordering that one.

I did feel buyer's remorse for last night's event. You are spot on that it was good to hear Lampley and Tarver wasn't bad either (although he did botch some sayings).

Was it the worst PPV ever? For whatever reason, I feel like I've felt more remorse over other PPV buys in the past but I can't remember which ones specifically.

I know i never want to watch haney or ramirez ever fight again that's for sure but yeah it's definitely one of the worst ppv cards off all time, I'm pissed off and I didn't even pay for it, the time I wasted watching it was bad enough.

Worst PPV main event we ordered live was

Hasim Rahman v Monte Barrett - awful fight. I didn't find out until afterward that they had revealed they were cousins; you can imagine how that fight went.

Somewhat salvaged because it had Mayorga on the undercard, young Luiz Collazo But all I can remember was how bad the main event was.

But yes, last night was unfortunate, it had an upset, but no fight really got going.

the ironic part is circa 2018 dazn’s whole mantra was eliminating the PPV model , lmao
