I just didn't like the fact, he quit and didn't even try. I wouldn't watch another ryan garcia fight. That was borderline disrespectful. Too scared to engage past a jab and too scared to go out on his shield!! Crazy.

Rolly gave tank a harder fight then Ryan.

Damn this is actually true lol, Ryan needs to consider early retirement, he just aint that good enough ,lucky for him already rich and still young so plenty of opportunities for the dude outside boxing real talk.

When I want to go to sleep at night, I will just watch this card over again. It was worse than Wlad vs Fury

As for the event being staged in New York's Time Square 'With the style of fighters on display, the fights were always going to produce straight forward action. I think Rolly Romero vs Ryan Garcia was the only fight, with the real potential to develop into a brutal war. This is due to both fighters best attributes being their power, skill for skill I don't think ether fighter is super talented. But in saying that? Rolly Romeo's form, and how held his stance was the best I have seen it in his career. Romero had a solid defense, and a really effective jab. Great performance by him'.

I am not so sure whether Ryan Garcia has underperformed, stylistically this may have just been a difficult fight for him 'Rolly Romero for as long as his fight against Gervonta Tank Davis lasted, he gave him a real competitive fight. The only difference between Garcia's and Romero's effort against Tank Davis, was that Romero was stopped earlier in the fight. I don't think Ryan Garcia did that much better vs Gervonta Tank Davis, when you really look at the action of both fights'.

Note: People need to remember, out of Ryan Garcia and Rolly Romero 'Garcia was not the former World Champion in this fight. Regardless of whether people rated Rolly Romero as a World Champion, that feat of achievement proves that he can rise to a big fight situation. Rolly Romero's clutch game is more proven than Ryan Garcia's. Romero has been to the big dance before many times, and has always 1: Made the Championship weight. 2: Produced a great effort, whether he has won or lost'.

In comparison Ryan Garcia's record at the big dance, during a big fight situation is not as good 'Garcia did not beat Devin Haney in an equal fight, and he was knocked out by Gervonta Tank Davis. Those are his two highest level fights'.

To conclude: The positives Ryan Garcia can take from his fight vs Rolly Romero 'Is that he was not knocked out. He can easily bounce by from this lost, real quick if he has the desire. I think possibly a rematch, would be the best fight to make because? I think this lost would have bothered Ryan Garcia as a competitor due to their long history, and rivalry in the sport. Ryan Garcia was gracious after the loss, which was a good sign for his recovery from the fight' etc.

Two journeyman with adequate skills, yet not on the level of a gatekeeper at 147 but, yeah....thanks for the technical break down.

Maybe we can see these two in some ultimate 1980s dance off with Devin Haney vs Shabba Doo.

Hard not to feel good about this result all the way around. Garcia deserved to lose. His effort in the fight was near non-existent and his behaviors make him an easy guy to root against.

Romero is a flawed fighter, but when has he ever not sold out in the ring? He wanted it more, looked like he trained harder, and earned a career best victory which should open the door for a good money fight for him next. Good on him.

IDK if it was the PEDS the weight or a combination but in conjunction with all that Garcia's mind still seems to be elsewhere. This kid isn't focused on boxing anymore. Probably has too much money and really just doesn't GAF anymore..typical athlete that loses motivation after getting rich. Spence is same way..
Romero is built like a 147lb bull, but also Jim kept talking about it cuz there was nothing else to talk about.

With Garcia, whatever it was, he just didn't have the mindset. Ostarine, or any ped, doesn't give somebody boxing skills. So not taking peds doesnt take away those skills. (Like how Garcia's ped didn't have anything to do with his haney's inability to block a repetitive left hook.) Maybe he expected an easy blowout or just doesnt have it now, but he just seemed afraid of another kd or ko and never commited.

I am with you, Haney is afraid to get hit and you could see it last night.

Anyway, whatever happened, props to Rolly.
