I'm a Brit and a big Froch fan and I had it for two rounds to Dirrell.

For me Dirrell landed more effective punches than Froch, the flashier combinations, the faster hands. He also exhibited better accuracy. Dirrell's defensive work was at times excellent and he surely deserved the nod on ring generalship!

Granted, Dirrell moaned, ran and held all night too. He couldn't have made many friends last night, even those who thought he had won (like me) got fed up with his whinging, I'd have loved to seen Froch knock him out. Sadly for alot of the fight Froch's superior aggression wasn't effective.

With a different mental approach Dirrell could well become one of the sports best pound for pound fighters. He has everything except a warrior's mentality. He even showed a fairly good chin. I hope he recovers well from this setback!

As for Froch, it looks like Taylor found the blue print, Dirrell came so close to getting the nod. I fear Kessler will pull it off!

Much respect, I see there are a few of you guys who are just pure boxing fans and call it like you see it.

That was a close fight, i had it 114-113 for froch. Any very good fighter could beat froch but not dirrell, he just didnt do enough to beat the belt holder at home, end of story

Some rounds were hard to call and these usually go to the title holder, thats boxing, live with it

Oh, and USA fighters never win close ones (and not so close ones) at home LOL

That's the point. Thank you. Dirrell clearly was:

                The better boxer
                The faster boxer
                The more effective puncher
                The more accurate puncher
                The more powerful puncher

I really don't understand how it was seen any differently.

Is there any compubox info on this fight?

Nah, for some reason Showtime never does Compubox. I guess HBO has them locked up.
