Years ago there was an older poster whose pic was a white guy reclining in a chair with legs crossed. I think he was east European - I enjoyed his posts. Then he just disappeared.

I think that was MDPopescu. He was a cool dude. He donated points to me back in the day when we could earn points. Don't know what happened to him.

Look at how a single wrong move can kick you down the standings... I was about to pick Jack close decision, but changed to Mikaeljan at the end. Translation, instead of 3rd I'm now in the second half...

I seriously didn't think Rolly had a hope else I might have included it, basically the choices were dictated by elite / P4P status and top 10 vs top 10, the remainder was just which the bookies had closest.

I just had a feeling. He was so calm during the face-off, and Tank said he hits like he has bricks in his gloves, when asked who hits harder between Romero and Garcia. Add to that the dominant sparring when they were younger, Ryan's year off and Rolly's size. I wish I was a betting man, as I would have made a killing. Though I had Rolly winning by KO, I would have still won pretty big, due to those ridiculous odds!

Yes - that's him!! He donated me points too - like you say - cool guy. I hope he's ok and his wife just put her foot down and told him to spend more time with her - but I always wonder

I learned playing boxingrec old pick em’ game you never change your pick. I finished 4th one year but there were around 100 people playing & it was for the whole year i believe. I remember the pick that shot me up the board was picking Johnathon Banks KOing Seth Mitchell & Banks ended up screwing me because I had Jason Gavern beating Banks but they fought to a draw. So i stayed in 4th. I was the one of the only ones who picked Gavern. I was in 3rd until final perfect picks came in here & i ended up in 4th. Twice i just missed the podium.

Not sure if you were around here for the Klitschko era. One year I was voted most hated poster of the year in the lounge. There were posters who would comment steady about HW fights that they never even watched. They would argue with me. We called it “boxing rec’d it” meaning he looked at the result on boxingrec & make their comments based on that. Example… He got KTFO in the 1st round. They would say he’s a bum or got exposed then I would call them out for not watching the fight. They would actually argue & insult me (Again most hated poster & true nemesis of the Klitschko nuthuggers) claiming to have watched it & i would inform them that the TKO1 was due to injury retirement & he didn’t get KO’d. They would then try to save face by deleting all their comments. It was awesome!
I don’t watch boxing as much anymore & i only watch HWs. All my picks here i “boxingrec”. Look at the results of each fighter & base my pick on what i see there without actually watching any of their fights…
