Two things were evident in that fight. Eubank was clearly the bigger guy and Benn can't fight in the inside. No rematch necessary, Benn will not fair better because Eubank figured him out at the end.

That's interesting because I ended up thinking his power is very average after seeing that fight.

Nah he's definitely got power, you can hear from the percussive sound of his shots on impact plus he hurt Eubank with a left hook and a right hand.

I scored the fight a draw. There were a few close rounds, but I generally scored them in Benn's favor as he had staggered Eubank several times. It was an awesome fight and felt like I got my money's worth. Benn's attack was very one-dimensional. He needs refinement if he's going to take on the elite at 147. He found a home for the over hand right early in the fight, but needed a real jab to lead it with. He often smothered his own work and did not attack Eubank's body enough. Eubank's jab got him through the first half of the fight and eventually stalled Benn's attack allowing him to take over the 2nd half of the fight.

I don't see the point in a rematch (except of course for money) but a win for either guy at this point doesn't do much for them. If Benn stays at 160 too long, he may unintentionally outgrow 147 where he's already undersized.

Benn can do better if and when he fights somebody his owns size. Visually it was disturbing to me that these two guys were sharing the ring. Eubank seemed a couple of weight divisions bigger than Benn. In fact this is the trend I have been noticing recently that I haven't quite seen in the past as much. Some of the fights are complete mismatches size wise and weight wise.

Is true, also ducked my man Ekow Essumann. Without PEDs Conor Benn is never making 147 again so talk about Barrios is just silly. Where does he have to go? A rematch is the only thing that makes financial sense. As for Conor sharpening his skills, find some skills to sharpen because all you have is speed & some power.

I've got no time for the PED cheating toerag, but it did concern me to see his head being ****** around & about. Look at James Toney, & I hasten to add, I hate to use his name in the same sentence as Conor Benn, & you will see what happens to someone, even if they are sublimely skilled, when they keep getting in the ring with much bigger men who punch hard. Thats why we have weight divisions. If you are 170lbs, come fight night, being punched over & again in the head by a guy who is at least 190lbs is not conducive to living a fulfilled happy life after boxing.
