And why is he fighting such a young fighter compared to him? Is he gonna get that ass beat? I've only seen Robinson fight against Gatti once.
How many farewell bouts has Julio Cesar Chavez had?

As far as I know this is the first fight that he considered a "farewell" however this fight must bring in some excitement considering that Jcc is well not young anymore but he thinks he still got the flame. Fighting a much younger opponent. this must set some record. -
Robinson is WAY over the hill, even more-so than Chavez, but I'm sad to see either guy in a prizefight, Mighty Ivan never really cashed in after he beat Gatti & he should have retired after Antonio Diaz pummeled him....and Chavez should have quit after he DID cash in vs. Oscar in '96 to the tune of 8mil.Comment

Lately all of Chavez fights have been farewell bouts. I remember him saying that his last fight against Frankie Randell was going to be his last. He even had a fight in Mexico a few years ago that was supposed to be his last.Comment

This fight with robinson would be the second farewell bout so far. By the way the real show that night will be Jesus "El Matador" Chavez vs Carlos "El Famoso" Hernandez.Last edited by .::|ULTIMATE|::.; 03-22-2005, 04:59 PM.Comment
