I liked Manfredo, he always came across as a humble guy. He was a solid fighter and I remember him being a regular on ESPN Friday Night Fights whenever they were in New England.

His fight against regional rival Joey Spina was a classic. Spina was very ****y and sported a gaudy KO record if I recall correctly. Manfredo best him pillar to post in that one.

Good to hear he's doing well and as humble as ever.

I was a fan of Manfredo until he shelled up and laid an egg versus The Pride of Wales. Calzaghe whooped him from pillar to post.

I read it and enjoyed it.
The subject seems anything but a bum.

They need to make a new series of the Contender but this time the ReContender with 10 former champions and the man who comes out on top gets a World Title shot. The likes of Amir Khan, Marcos Maidana, Kell Brook and 7 others. The top 6 qualify for a 6-man Boxing Royal Rumble and the last man standing gets a shot at Canelo. Nash out - His Majesty

This was a fun read about a good guy. Enjoyed it, as I enjoyed that era (2007, when I first got seriously into boxing).
