Sturm? I am a fan but he is undersized for a MW even.

That is laughable, he should move down if anything. The guy is roughly the same size as Sergio Martinez.

Prolonging the tournament has nothing to do with it. It is only happening at all because all the fighters consider it advantageous to participate, and they all do think that because of three guaranteed big pay-days with huge additional rewards if they do well. Bute turned it down; he only got enthused when suddenly everybody else had signed up and he was left out in the cold.

They are doing what works in practice. No other division could even manage this format.

a question, Pavlik and Hopkins are not of this weight and because there are also contesting the tournament, especially Pavlik?
