You're right. You did write a silly article, with the collateral damage of this silly comment

      First.............you read my mind, it's silly .

More importantly, as a convicted Ray Lenard Fan Boy, I know in my heart of hearts that Marvin Hager lost to the better draw and not the better fighter.

I saw that fight live, I was happy my guy won but in those quiet moments when you can't BS yourself....I knew that showmanship tipped the scale and that Marvin Hager got screwed.

Poor Marvelous Marvin: I doubt many Leonard fans truly disagree with you in their "heart of hearts" but sadly so few can admit it he was denied his deserved glory

I’m a Leonard super-duper fan, hooked on boxing because he alone drew me in. He remains my favourite fighter ever.

            Hagler won that fight.

I also like it when esteemed fighters like Buddy McGirt state Leonard deservedly won. Ray’s been my favourite fighter since I turned 14 almost 40 years ago.

But I don’t agree. Marvin won at least 7 rounds.

OK, call me delusional. SRL won 5 of the first 6 rounds. I genuinely don't see how anyone could dispute that. That meant that, without Marvin scoring a KD, SRL needed one more for a draw & one round & a draw to win the title. SRL wins the 9th & I don't believe any human being with two eyes to see could dispute that. He earns at least a draw in either the 8th or 10th. Which is enough. I swear to God, I'll go to my dying breath, Marvin lost that fight! I know folks won't accept it but he wasn't robbed of anything. He paced a 12 rounder as though it was a 15 rounder & he paid the price.
