Gvozdyk should know better than most . It is always refreshing to hear a active boxer that has actually been in the ring recently with all fighter’s concerned. When I read or hear what ex fighters who are behind a microphone I take it with a grain of salt. But then again I’ve been saying for sometime now exactly what Gvozdyk has said. Benavidez is definitely p4p it’s just that media & boxing writers prefer Weight hopper’s & Title defense’s & a variety of different requests to be p4p . Going on recent form I’d put Benavidez above Alvarez & few other of the usual suspects that seem to hang around the p4p listing’s do nothing.

Benavidez didn't just fade against Gvozdyk

he also faded in the Morrell fight

Cuban David got the better of the championship rounds

Mexican David would be feather fisted at cruiserweight but could get some wins because the division is lacking

There's only two championship rounds and the condenses is that Benavidez won the 12th, so how did Morrell get the better of the championship rounds?

I see I remember Gvozdyk took round 9 too

most of the rounds Gvozdyk and Morrell won were during the championship portion of their fights. Each took 3 out of the 4 rounds

            Benavidez 8-4 Rusty Gvozdyk
            Benavidez 7-5 Green Morrell

Benavidez technique deteriorates when he fades.

Starts throwing his favorite shot the left hook wild sloppy center of gravity high and off balance. Gvozdyk timed crosses

Benavidez will return his jab low after throwing it with his right hand down

Whether full of stamina or gassy he regularly compromises his balance when throwing the right hand

fading with flawed technique is recipe for getting spanked when faced with great fighters such as Bivol and Tiger Paw Artur

good fighter supposed to take the championship rounds against opponents who were green or rusty!

What brand of crack is you smoking bro?!
In dropping the fight he avoided Benavidez. There's nothing more true on earth. Doesn't matter why. He avoided the fight. Dont fkn matter if it was for money or whatever. David would have taken the fight for less money. That's the difference in him and Canelo.

I absolutely think that Benevides has a decent shot at beating anyone at light heavyweight. Only the nut-huggers want to remain in denial.

The championship rounds are the 11th and 12th. Back in the day all non-title fights were 10 rounds.
