Jack is fighting Mikaelian on the Canelo vs Scull undercard. He was going to fight Rozicki but Rozicki tore his bicep, which means he's had his title shot canceled six times now (the first five were due to Mikaelian's injuries and Don King shenanigans).

I just want Zurdo get this undeserved mandatory out of the way to face Jai Opetaia, who has a stay busy fight earlier in June. If both come out victorious and unscathed, it wouldn't surprise me if the sheik puts the Opetaia-Ramirez unification on the undercard of Bivol-Beterbiev III in October.

          Not amazing.

          Cons are obvious.

Only pro seems to be that despite his age/inactivity, powerful old Dorticos has only lost twice to the best & one of those was close.

winner of Buff Guy Jai-Zurdo can fight whoever has the wbc belt 1H 2026

Hopefully in q4 2026 it’s Buff Guy Jai-Bivol after he whoops Benavidez

I received an email from GBP.
This is going to be the co-main event to Jake Paul vs Chavez jr in Anaheim, CA.

I'll probably go to this. I want to be there live when Paul puts the nail on Jr. coffins and I'm always down to see Zurdo vs a heavy puncher!

As long as boxing fans remain obsessed with "undisputed" in the "four belt era" then they have to accept everything that comes with that, including the "undeserved mandatories". Boxers should be fighting at least three times a year anyway, so knocking off a mandatory here and there shouldn't be such a big deal. It was pretty standard until the last decade which has contributed to all the secondary/interim belts.
