I wonder how current Lara would do against Crawford. I know Lara is shot, but he’s always had problems against heavier aggressive boxers like Hurd, Angelo, etc. Stylistically, Crawford doesn’t pose much threat to him. To keep it a buck, old man Lara is a stylistic nightmare for anyone.Comment

I don't think it's a technical flaw but he risks himself in 50/50 exchanges and he drops his guard when throwing combinations, which is pretty normal.
The 3 right hands Madrimov hit him with partly has to do with age. Crawford's reaction is too slow to parry or slip them. (Obviously)
I expect Canelo to come in with a similar gameplan that he had for Khan. Attack the body. Keep him thinking about it, slow him down, close the distance then tee off.Comment

Great observation. He doesn’t look comfortable getting hit to the body especially those looping body shots, he tends to get thrown off balance when he gets hit like that. Yeah, I feel like Canelo will mix it up like that and catch Crawford upstairs when he least expects it.I don't think it's a technical flaw but he risks himself in 50/50 exchanges and he drops his guard when throwing combinations, which is pretty normal.

I don't know. Your head is always exposed when you throwing a body shot. Any training is such that when under trauma we revert to our most basic skills set.
Fighters like Crawford tend to make adjustments and that is the real strength. As far as technical flaws bud does tend to loop a little bit.Last edited by billeau2; 05-18-2025, 06:24 PM.Comment
