Comments Thread For: Janibek Alimkhanuly now says Carlos Adames is the only one he wants

What's your source? Janibek also claims to have sent a contract to Adames in September last year.
Then there's this:
After constantly getting called out by Janibek Alimkhanuly, Carlos Adames finally responds with his own schedule and plans.
I suspect promoters are playing games, personally, and if any contracts got sent, they never made it to the fighters. But Adames looks like the duck to me. "I don't change my schedule for anyone" when proposed a date range? C'mon now. Janibek has been calling him out constantly for years now.
I have yet to see any kind of source that says Adames actually sent a contract, while Janibek had a venue and date ready for the fight last year.
As for Sheeraz, didn't he choose to go the WBC route to fight Adames instead of Janibek? He withdrew from his WBO ordered fight to take Adames instead.

Let's see this old interview, please. I have found dozens of articles showing Janibek sending offers and requesting contracts, and shared some of them with you. I can't find any at all the other way. Cards on the table please.Comment

Well, he needs to show it then. Because I haven't seen him call the bluff even once, let alone twice. Meanwhile, Janibek has had much more concrete evidence that Adames is ducking. I honestly don't blame Adames though. He may legit think that he's not seen a contract, because PBC declined it on his behalf without him ever hearing about it. That would be par for the course with the Protected Boxers Club.

Unfortunately, it seems to happen with some regularity. Sometimes it makes some sense, like De La Hoya turning down Murtazaliev after Ortiz fought Bohachuk and Madrimov back to back, and earned a shot at Fundora for two belts. Other times it's like Bozy turning down Bud apparently without even consulting his son. I definitely got the impression that Bob Arum was quashing the Bivol fight for Beterbiev for some time, and Beterbiev never seemed to know what was going on with that. Pretty sure Haymon was turning down Bud considering that as soon as Bud cut him out and went straight to Spence, the fight got made. There's a long list, and even several instances in which the promoter turns the fight down and admits doing it and the fighter never knew. Many fighters don't really get that involved in the business side. They just want to do the fighting, and they figure that's why they're signed with the promotion, so the promoter can look out for their best interests. Naive, I know, but not uncommon. And the promoter always wants to say that they're looking out for the career of the fighter. De La Hoya was pretty clear he didn't want Ryan Garcia to fight Tank, and I'm thinking that happened only because Ryan got personally involved. Oscar was probably right about that, but hey.Comment
