Phuk Dirrell, he did nothing to win the fight.
Carl came out of that fight unmarked.

Too bad Dirrell was not Jermain Taylor's opponent because he too would have came out of this fight with out a lump or a scratch.
    Floyd-Castillo was no robbery.

    Floyd won that fight.

Or possibly the best answer is that people's opinions stayed the same about Dirrell and they lost respect for Froch. Or both.
Who thought he was gonna be dominated? Alot of us knew dirrel is fast and will box. However we questioned his chin but he used alot of tactics to avoid getting hit. Froch is slow and his footwork is **** aswell as his defence.. we all knew that.

er froch won by 3 and 4 rounds..what fight weere you watching...dirrells nose was bleeding and eyes were swollen so to claim froch lost is incredible...

i had froch 3 rounds up..continued the jab relentlessly and landed some cracking body shots...nailed dirrell a few times on the face..but with dirrell skillfully rolled the ounch...

Yes, because fights are judged on bloody faces.

A LOT of people were picking Froch to dominate.

Yea, too an extent. Even though he ran a lot he still showed some heart by not folding under pressure as Froch tried to turn up the heat as the fight went on and instead continued to outbox him.

Even if you didn't think he won (which quite a few including myself felt he should have) you have to admit it was a real close fight.
Good God, a sensible post at last.

Yes, it was most certainly close. Yes, Dirrell might have pinched it if he was at 'home' and/or held the title. Robbery, no, or anything like.

I have more respect for Dirrell, certainly. He's a fast, skillful and intelligent fighter, well worth his place in the tourney. I could never be a 'fan' though, not with that style. It's not just skills v. slugger, even the skillful boxer needs to more and mix it more to win fights like that. He just didn't do quite enough.

Yes, because fights are judged on bloody faces.
They aren't, but the point is it does rather disprove the notion Froch wasn't landing telling punches.

He looked quite slick with fast hands and movement, but I don't like fighters that have to be chased around the ring, hold whenever they're hit, and bend double to avoid punches. So, he'll have to do more to get my respect.
