I dislike the WBC. I would rather crawl across broken glass then give them credit.

So rookie fighters, are not being permitted to actually make a weight limit early in their career? I don't think this is good practice for them as fighters 'Because in professional boxing especially in the lower weight classes. Every single pound of weight counts, towards a fighters performance'.

When the fighters competing in this tournament potentially in the future fight for real professional titles i.e. Domestic, European and other Global titles 'They are not going to be allowed to weigh in 2 pounds over the weight limit. Technically if they do such a thing? They are making the fight an unequal contest, by potentially gaining an advantage'.

Note: But regardless, I suppose this event is 'At least good for exposure. There will be fighters competing in the tournament, that would have been fighting in professional boxing matches with no real exposure in comparison to the WBC tournament. With more exposure, there comes more pressure. So in that regards the rookie fighters will gain experience in that level of competitive environment'.

But in terms of pure skill for skill professional development? I would not necessarily rate the event, as the best tool for a fighter's development. I personally don't see how by winning this tournament, a fighter is going to gain much experienced that they can utilize in a real 12 round boxing fight'. The tournament format, seems like a hybrid combination of Amateur and professional boxing. The action will be fast, so that is a positive for the spectators'.

To conclude: My criticism of this event, has nothing to do with me having a issue with the Alphabet belts 'Because I have no real issue with them. I just think the format, could have been more seriously put together. By the looks of the tournament lay out and format, I don't think anybody can call this ether amateur or professional boxing'.

The tournament seems to be its own entity, and I am sure 'That it will give the fighters some solid exposure i.e. the media may build a narrative that the winner of this tournament is set to take over the game. When in reality? It does not really look like the best way to develop a rookie fighter'.

Maybe the WBC tournament is more aimed at fighters, with very limited experienced in the game. Because once a professional boxer is on the brink of fighting for domestic titles, I don't think they would gain more valuable experience from this competition 'So overall this WBC tournament concept does seem like a good idea for a specific level of fighter. With the main goal of gaining exposure, and competing on the big stage' etc.
