That actually IS shocking to me. How scared must his team be of that Ennis beatdown?
idk maybe hes 24 and what was boots doing at 24, avoiding a bud fight maybe?

So because he’s 24 that excuses him turning down $1.7 million, to go make 10 times less instead?

His purses for Cuevas + Sasaki put together won’t equal the $1.7 million he was offered to fight Ennis.
His combined purses for Santillan + Cuevas + Sasaki probably won't equal the Ennis offer. With every training camp + fight, you risk loss and injury. Beating Sasaki is not going to substantially increase Norman's value, especially if he goes to Japan. Sasaki can also punch, and I saw Norman get a bit rattled by Cuevas. Team Norman seems to want an Ennis fight in their backyard, yet Norman may go over to Japan for Saski. It doesn't make sense.

Ha. Right, the Top Tank Protection Program.

Gotta hold on to that belt even if their fighter makes no money as a result?

Just like Beterbiev fought Bivol only with a large offer on the table, it would probably take Saudi money for Norman to fight Boots.

This guy will literally turn down a career high purse just to duck. What kind of so called world champion is that? And people will actually defend this?
I would call that a paper champion/titlist, yes people defend it depending on who they want to see win and lose. In Norman's defense he is protecting his 0 in order to cash himself out big later, if he really believed in himself he would bet on himself since beating Boots would make him the clear champion at 147.
