That's ridiculous...Although in the good ole U. S of A, where every 6 footer is a soft, doughy 200 lbs, you might have a point. I'm 6ft 2 and well over 50 years old and I could still get down to 155 lbs with lifting heavy weight and eating well. I could do that in 5 weeks and be very fit. Anyone who has a healthy lifestyle and is active should be able to NOT be a lard arse. Most people are just lazy, indulgent and inactive. Genetics do play a factor too, though.
No. Just no. At 6'2" you would not get down to 155. Firstly because muscle weighs more than fat, so if you started lifting weights, you would not lose .. weight. Secondly, at your age, your metabolism would not allow you to dehydrate as much. Sorry. Not hating, just reality check. But hey, If you send me a pick of you on the scale, standing next to a measuring tape, with the date on your phone and a sign saying "you were wrong, Steeve Steel, well then... I might believe you.
i dont really get how dehydrating yourself to make a weight that u are not, is supposed to be the healthy way to box???? i mean losing and putting on that much liquid im thinking may even be bad for your brain and then putting it all back in and getting smacked on the head seems like a very bad idea to me anyway, there are simple and effective ways to get people to fight in the ring at their correct weights with none of the stuff they have going on now

Genetics and working out throughout at least 75% of the year (every year without fail) and never getting out of shape are a necessity Maybe not an absolute necessity if you have "skinny" genetics. Also as important is not overeating or heavily indulging in junk food. Some people are just natural ectomorphs. It has both drawbacks and benefits. I would much prefer to be a mesomorph because building muscle requires much more work when you're naturally slim. The amount of good quality protein and calories that you have to ingest is difficult to maintain too.
