[QUOTE=TonyRespectful;n32451736]This was team bennie, pbc,and wbc manipulation. bennie went to the last Bivol-Beterbiev and left early. He was then invited to be on the undercard of B&B trilogy against Callum Smith for "millions "with a guaranteed shot at undisputed if he won.He preferred an email title. Defend that, boxing fans. I'll defend it. PBC some piss poor manipulators when Benavidez was Alvarez WBC mandatory for years. Nothing is guaranteed in the crooked ass sport of boxing. Benavidez will fight anyone for their belt. Who the fck wants to wait 6 months for Smith/Benavidez. Instead of undercard, Smith can get that ass beat in a WBC title challenge tomorrow. Benavidez has a belt that Canelo not going up for and anyone else want that WBC belt right now they know where to find it.
Well, I mean... it is but it isn't because when we consider what's actually happened in the last few years in amongst all the controversial endings & decisions as well as all the belt vacating, there have been a lot of unification & undisputed fights compared to the decade before.
Total investment is through the roof, the top-end money's gone up & while the lower-end & lower-weight money wasn't there to begin with(!), if we're perfectly honest the lower-weight money is rising quite sharply in real time (has been since the legendary Super Fly events).
However as much as the undisputed fights with which we've recently been blessed are greatly appreciated, I completely agree it's a tiresome shame that every time we're blessed with a newly minted undisputed champ he immediately gets stripped or has to vacate something.
Agree 100%. The last great lineup of fights (which were a great pleasure to watch) were the World Boxing Super Series which forced top fighters to face each other.
