It was reported Bivol made 2.5 for the rematch. Benavidez offered him 8 mill.

Highly doubt Bivol only got 2.5m for headlining a Saudi card and there is no way Benavidez offered him more than he could get for another Saudi payday

This is a myth... Canelo only dares to be great against against perceived low lying fruit who are either shot or coming off poor performances like Bivol did against Craig Richards post Pandemic. Now lets see if he "dares to be great" again against Benavidez! More likely he'll dare to be great against 41 year old Badou Jack at cruiser while having the cheek to ask the fight be made at 180lbs catchweight for the title.

As of late his opponent has been subpar. He was taking challenges until he unified. After Bivol he has been very selective.

I see no issue with a third fight when the result of both the first and the second bout was unclear, and both fights were great to watch, it's been gripping elite-level stuff. And, like folks are saying here, this trilogy was already written in stone. But whoever wins this fight better face Benavidez next, I am hoping that that's built into the promotion.

It's not magic. Benavidez beat two top 10 opponents and managed to get ranked number 1 in two sanctioning bodies and mandatory to Bivol.
