The Wardley that started out... who had good feet, moved constantly with upper body amd angular movements, used a jab well and set up his shots would have been a top contender along with Moses Ituama. Then Wardley fell in love with his power, got much heavier (or so it seemed to me) and looked like any other head hunting whale. Fighting like this he will probably not do well against Big Baby. Wardley broke my heart... He really had talent then for some reason went down the wrong path.
Heavyweights really never evaluate power properly. There will only be a few Deontay Wilder's. Guys who REALLY can end a fight with a punch. We call these punchers. To have decent power, is a great asset but it has to be cultivated and used as part of other skills. Liston, Marciano, Dempsey, all examples of guys who had power but never relied upon it! Louis could change a fight with a punch, arguably so could Tyson... Guys like Wardley never study the tapes and understand how vital boxing skills are... I just see it so obviously with Wardley.
