They must have liked his dance moves that time Dirrell shook him up. Those were some pretty funky leg movements.Like seriously?? he landed a big left i remember..and he did a pretty good calzaghe impersonation lol and ate some bombs after that...He was getting jabbed at will and tagged with bombs in the second half of that fight...what kinda ****ery are these judges on these days lol -
Sorry guys, I think Derrill lost this one. He landed one or two big punches the whole fight. Froch landed a few and Derrill clung on to him for dear life. Derrill was blatantly running and the crowd did not like it. Froch played it dirty offensively while Dirrell played dirty defensively. Clinching, Clinging and Holding, Ducking low so the only target was the back of his head. I agree he came on strong at the end though. Froch just landed the harder blows. Whenever Froch landed you could see Dirrell running or clinging. I knew that kind of American style boxing wouldn't roll in Europe. It was close, but I think Froch edged this one based on chin, activity, aggressiveness, and just consistently more effective shots.
To tell you the truth most people thought Dirrell would get on his bike. I did not expect him to start sitting on his punches and actually swinging near the end. Too bad it was too little too late.Comment

as young and untested as dirrell is froch should be embarrassed to get a BS decision like that after gettin tattooedComment

Froch actually wanted to fight. That alone puts him up on Dirrell who clearly had no intention of it.
There has to be a line drawn somewhere. How much is one fighter allowed to run?
If a fighter is going to rob the crowd like that the ring should be made smaller.Comment

What are you talking about? The holding was pathetic, but it's not like he ran away for 12 rounds and flicked harmless jabs.
HE ALMOST KNOCKED FROCH OUT FOR CHRISSAKES.
He landed ALL of the significant punches. He was the only fighter to actually HURT his opponent. He not only outboxed him without taking any damage, he also punished him!Comment

I watched the fight 3 times and really have not witnessed Froch doing anything of note. I really do not see how he won five rounds (let alone 7) if clean effective punching is the main criteria.Comment

and I didn't see any 'almost knockout', where do you guys pull this from, is it the US commentators?
and he didn't land all the significant punches, open your other eye. He took damage too and was bleeding.Comment

I never said that. I am guessing that you have poor reading comprehension. I watched the fight in its entirety.
I guess you didn't see Froch's legs buckle, and he leaned back on the ropes and put the ear muffs on?
Dirrell took some damage from various fouls, such as that impressive judo throw, but he didn't really get hit by any legal blows. Even a jab can cause a bloody nose. I am talking about actually getting tagged.
Do you deny that Froch was the only fighter to get "hurt"? I mean that in the boxing slang sense... shook up, dazed, on ***** street. Whatever you want to call it...Comment
