There comes a time in any competitive pursuit when the near misses add up and what once was mere disappointment gives way to heartbreak. In Tevin Farmer?s in-ring interview following his majority decision loss Saturday night to William Zepeda ? his second straight against the favored Zepeda by a narrow margin, and his third consecutive defeat overall ? you could hear the heartbreak.

    Badou Jack:
-originally given a robbery draw against Lucian Bute, thankfully awarded a DQ win after Bute failed a drug test
-robbery draw in a unification/vacant Ring and lineal title fight against James DeGale
-draw against Adonis Stevenson for the lineal light heavyweight title
    -gruesome cut against Marcus Browne
-robbery loss against the walking pharmacy PED cheater Jean Pascal
-promised a WBC bridgerweight title fight that never materialized

This is why I have respect for ALL boxers, even the ones I don't care for.

Boxing's the only sport that literally robs it's competitors.

Other sports, you might get an unfair decision, but you get paid the same regardless & usually you have a guaranteed contract

In boxing, you lose a fight you deserved to win AND you might make millions of dollars less.

I still respect farmer for the career he's had because this was a guy who was like 7-4 after 11 fights and not taken the sport seriously but he changed his whole team and lifestyle and went on and won a world title and defended it a few times aswell. I mean he's one of these fighters who you've seen through out history where on his night he could probably beat alot of guys and he's a guy who will give top fighters competitive fights, and for that reason alone despite having 9 losses on the record he'll get fights and his style is one that can upset a few apple carts especially against fighters who are more come forward and aggressive because he's a tricky counter punching southpaw. i think he could of won all three of the fights he's just lost but Muratalla fight and the second Zepeda fight he just wasn't active enough when he could of been.
