Is it time to cash Zepeda out even if he doesn't look ready for the WBC lightweight titleholder?

I think Zepeda has a better chance than some people are giving him credit. 70-30 in favour of Stevenson. But seriously, what’s with the Zepeda hate? how can you hate on someone who fights like THAT? Yes Zepeda gets hit by Shakur all night long, but he pressures Stevenson like nobody ever has.

Do the fight, and we have hopefully a breakout star at the end of it (probably Shakur but who knows).

This writer obviously didn't watch that fight. He's going by the box score. Zepeda landed 200 more shots than Farmer, it wasn't close, those scores are just an example of the travesty that boxing today is...

Nope, the dancing fairy Shakira Twaterson should be avoided like the plague by any smart fighter.

William Zepeda has the backing and the fanbase, why risk it and possibly take an L against a high risk/low reward guy with a God awful, stinky style that doesn't fight back? Makes no sense.

Tank vs Shakur is what the boxing world wants, but they'll continue to duck each other for another 10 years.

A chin can only carry you so far. Ask Joe Joyce.

People over Hype Shakur Chickenson. He was Already Exposed by De Los Santos. Shakur doesn't have the power to "hurt" Zepeda with those brittle hands and grip of 16 year old. De Los Santos has nowhere near the Volume of Zepeda.

All Tevin did to Zepeda was a hugfest that the ref never warned. Matches are won with PUNCHES LANDED, not hugs given. Unless Shakur is putting a "clinch" clinic or a "Marathon", I don't see him causing Zepeda issues. No power.

Yes, Zepeda does get hit, that comes with THROWING many punches. There is a chance to be countered every punches thrown.

The one that will beat Zepeda is some one with Power or he Gasses out by throwing way too many punches and gets finished in the later rounds. Keyshanwn or Tank have a better chance than Shakur.

Zepeda throws basic predictable combinations over and over and is not very accurate. It's pretty safe to say he was over-rated. He was being fed a steady diet of B-level opponents.

What fanbase? That school gym wasn't packed at all in Mexico and tickets were probably 99 cents

Zepeda has no choice but to fight a p4p fighter for a career high payday or get beat by a nobody.

                  Easy choice

It's quite clear why GBP has steered Zepeda away from Shakur Stevenson, at least twice! They knew he wasn't ready, and he still might not be ready! Not sure if he could beat Abdullah or Keyshawn either!
