I am aware it's not the deepest division but this is probably the absolute worst opponent he could've selected without getting stripped of one of his belts. Almost all of Cano's opponents have a losing record, he has no world level victories, and he got a draw with a 5-10 fighter.

Collazo had mostly fought good competition prior to this one so hopefully it's just a one-off, but Cano is one of the worst fighters in recent memory to get a crack at a unified title. Even late replacements a week out have been more credible.

I agree that is not the best opponent and hopefully it will not be the norm. But if he wants to keep busy and he stated that he wants to fight as soon as he can I don't mind a few soft touches here and there. Chavez and fighters of yore fought a lot of low tier fighters.
