"Dubois-Parker would have been one of those nice things. But fate intervened, we couldn’t have it"
Maybe not right now but it's 2025 & former HW champion Parker's 33, modern elite sports science says him & Dubois should be able to have a credible fight any time in the next 2 years.

Other than that, I know usyk would like ddd I'm sure, but in all fairness Parker should get usyk, otherwise ddd gets rewarded for pulling out of fight? And usyk fights kabayel, and ddd too at some point.
That's 3 fights for usyk, and then retire as 2nd GOAT coming, alongside Ali

And though they were beaten by Joe, it can be argued that their efforts against him helped break down that iron chin and made him vulnerable vs Zhang.

I'll grant Hrgovic was a good win, but there shouldn't have been an interim title on the line then to begin, and then his first title defense after being upgraded by email was another guy who's already lost to the real champ twice. The IBF should have granted that exception since he'd already lost (and how does beating drug cheat Miller get you back into the title picture to get the Hrgovic fight?).
Beating Dubois again doesn't really do anything for Usyk other than give him back the belt he never should have lost. If he wants to build his resume, Parker is a better name. And Kabayel looks like he'll be the next big thing after Usyk retires if he doesn't get to fight.
I watched Foreman Frazier earlier, the waist band is an inch wide so you can phisically see where's legal. We're all built different & these 6 inch belts are half way to the chest on some.
& it wasn't low...... From one angle xDLast edited by Bob; 03-25-2025, 03:38 PM.brankobugarski likes this.

Usyk obviously is not going to hang it up, even though it is the perfect time with the perfect ending. So the rematch with DuBois makes the most sense. Get the belt back he was forced to give up to satisfy the Fury rematch to become undisputed again and end the senseless argument that somehow DuBois was "robbed" in a fight it can be argued he never won a round in. Seriously. like the most skilled HW fighter of this generation couldn't have survived that only good punch landed on him if it was ruled legal and recovered to win anyways is such a weak argument.
In my humble, unimportant opinion Parker deserves it more and I want to see that fight more as it provides Usyk with a new challenge. But the DuBois rematch makes more sense in a vacuum.
