Both fighters have something to lose, not just Chris Eubank Junior. But from a pure boxing perspective, Chris Eubank Junior has nothing much to gain from beating Conor Benn 'The fight is just a great business opportunity, for a prize fighter'.
Conor Benn has to produce a commendable performance 'But I sense that early on in the pre-fight build up, Benn and his team where already making a point of moving up two weight classes. Which indirectly I read as a readymade excuse if they get smashed up by a version of Chris Eubank Junior who? Eddie Hearn and Match Room have tried their best to tactically weaken with the mandate of a rehydration clause'.
A few weeks back I watched a interview with Ben Shalom and he stated 'That Eddie Hearn truthfully does not believe Conor Benn can beat Chris Eubank Junior. All of what he has been saying during the build up, is just Hearn marketing the fight'.
And I kind of agree with this assessment that Ben Shalom has in regards to Hearn 'Eddie Hearn may want Conor Benn to win. And that is why he has really done some of his best work ever as a promoter in this match up for Benn. Conor Benn has never won any notable titles, he has completely avoided his nearest competition at domestic level and? In my opinion, I personally don't think Conor Benn has ever competed in a real fight'.
All of Conor Benn's fights have been manufactured 'So there is higher likely-hood that he would win. I don't think he has ever been matched in a fight, were his promoters are thinking? Gosh this other guy could win, we are really up against it here'.
Whereas, whether people like to admit it or not 'Chris Eubank Junior has progressed in the sport of boxing, the old fashioned way. Nobody on this forum can deny that Eubank Junior did not legitimately fight his way through domestic and European levels before? He eventually fought World level fighters such as Billy Joe Saunders and George Groves'.
Note: Chris Eubank Junior has won the Lonsdale British title, and IBO Middle Weight and Super Middle Weight titles 'Eubank Junior throughout his career unlike Benn, has fought his nearest domestic competition. And been involved in multiple high jeopardy fights'.
Out of the two fighters only Chris Eubank Junior has built up his own legacy in the game 'It is nowhere near the prestige and recognition of his father's. But nevertheless, he has had a commendable career in the sport of boxing'.
Conor Benn has in my opinion not really been involved in any intriguing fights 'It is clear that Eddie Hearn has viewed Benn as a product that he must promote. I would suspect that behind closed doors? Hearn knows the game, and I don't think he really rates Conor Benn as highly as he is trying to make the media and casual sports fans to believe'.
To conclude: So, overall both fighters have something to lose 'If people think? A server loss is not going to affect Conor Benn moving forward in his career. Then they don't understand the seriousness of boxing. When athletes lose in boxing, it can be extremely traumatic'.
And one more thing? Chris Eubank Senior knows that Eubank Junior is not on his level as a fighter. Eubank Senior has only ever been very honest on Eubank Junior's ability, and I think he rates him as a solid fighter with untapped ability at times'.
Nigel Benn in comparison, was a great fighter 'And I understand that he has to back his son. But his gauge on rating Conor Benn's ability is way off in my opinion. Conor Been is neither a better fighter than his father thus-far in his career, and he has not shown any signs of having genuine World level ability' etc.
