Not gonna bother to read the rest of the comments because its way too long, but am I the only one that thinks this actually could work out for the regional level guys and young prospects without great amateur pedegree? Obviously world level contenders and champions won't bother with it, but guys in their early 20s and stuck on the outside of the alphabet soup rankings can worst case get 40k a year for a few years as long as they fight twice.
It will also help get unknown guys who have talent but not known enough to get a solid promotion from the notable boxing promoters to make a basic living, with a hope for more exposure that may eventually lead to greener pastures at the end of the three years if they can show promise.
In a way it is like the independent leagues for baseball where those that couldn't get to the MLB to play baseball professionally and hope to get on a scout's eyes. Of course, this is all based on the basis that it is actually a true three year deal where the fighters get to choose if they want to resign or become a freeagent, which given Dana White I'm skeptical.Comment

But you know what's crazy....I just can't believe all these American dudes that jumped on the Turki train without doing one bit of due diligence. I mean these guys started sucking off Len Balatnivik in 2018 because they thought his 2 billion was going to crush the American market. Then they started to suck off Eddie Hearn because they rooted for him to "put the black guy in his place" and that failed horribly. Now they just started stuffing Saudi salami all down their throats because the one thing that they just can't fathom is Al Haymon runs boxing in America. I'm just having a hoot over here laughing at these clowns. Hey Oldskoolg we have been telling these dudes for years now how this was going to go down but they wouldn't believe us. Where is GB4LIFE and all these other clowns at?? SAY SOMETHING!!!!Comment

I'm a black Brit & Haymon's given me enough reasons to dislike his methods, obviously I don't know what anyone else's motivation is to hate him & we KNOW the racists hate him because that's what they do.
Same with Don King (of course Haymon isn't nearly as hated); sure the bigots hated him for being a black winner but he gave us plenty of legit reasons to dislike his methods, too.Comment

Being a black Brit doesn’t have anything to do with being an FBA. Two very different ethnicities and nationalities. The two are no more related than a Belgian and a Hungarian are. Even within the uk, there are various Caribbean peoples and various African peoples with their own separate ethnicities and cultures. I grew up in greater Manchester with the sons and the daughters of the windrush generation, and served in the US Army with the FBA officers and NCOs, you’re in no way similar to them
What I said was that as a non-white guy who dislikes the way Haymon was so poor at blurring the line between boxing manager & promoter (a line which, as we all know, should never be blurred) that he eventually made HBO stop wanting to even work with him because the quality of boxing he was giving us fans was dreadful...
...I am 100% perfectly qualified to speak on the definite fact that while there most certainly exist many many many many racist haters who would hate Al Haymon based on that alone even if he were the best promotager in the world, it isn't safe to just assume that any white boxing fan who dislikes PBC is a racist.
Need I have typed any of it? Not necessarily lol. Am I defending racists or claiming to be a FBA? Absolutely not, although big shout Dr Umar Ifatunde cos that brother is superbComment

I said as soon as Turki appeared on the scene he was planning to TKO (takeover boxing) I will bet my nut on him and Dana where orchastrating this long before he even showed his face. Dana is what Greg Norman and Liv Golf is boxing althoughy bay far less qualified. And look whats happen to Golf now. Its DEAD! Destroyed by the Saudi's.
I am 100% certain I will NEVER be watching TKO. We live in an era where there is suprlus forms of entertainment and I can afford to be very picky. I value my time and Dana and his grifters will never get a second of it.Comment

Wow! The part in bold print is the number one reason why it will fail. DEEP CULTURAL AND STRUCTURAL DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MMA AND BOXING! It's exactly what I've been saying but I just like to say it by actually stating what the DEEP CULTURAL DIFFERENCES are. But I'm race baiting right? Haha. No that's some good shyte tho for real!
I think Dana is going to make a play for Latino and East Eurpean fighters to join TKO. (Teo is already weaing the MBGA hat and I can see him as one of the cheer leaders.) As for black fighters, they value their indepence will be very skeptical of Dana will remain with the old guard. UK would be out of Dana's reach but TKO wont care about them. On TKO's first launch night the same gang will be there, Walhberg, Snoop, Rogan etc and we might even get POTUS appearing to bless this so called 'American' creation.

The same two posters as usual citing that this is a race war instead of a takeover of all
Seven pages to repeat Thé same thing over and over , with the old guy cheerleader cheering on
TKO is after everyone’s money not just one ethnic club
Talk about making a huge story about nothing and trying to ring it about racism
The last I saw , the UFC was made up of all kinds
Green is green no matter where it comes fromComment

Didn't claim to be, Sir.

As for Haymon. Every boxing outfit wants to be the best. The difference is that Haymon didn’t want to put promotions out of business in Germany, Denmark, Australia, Italy, France, South Africa, Russia, and the UK for example. Indeed, when PBC began in 2015, Haymon and Hearn were working together as evidence to British fighters fighting on PBC cards on NBC and other networks. The problem began when Hearn made Dazn think that he could sign all of the PBC fighters when he expanded to the USA through Dazn. He didn’t try to do that to Top Rank. He did that to one specific promotion. I’m not sure if the outside of the USA world understands just how hostile (and familiar) that was to many of the FBA fans…a group that has long learned to do for itself for the last 16+ generations and 400 or so years and are familiar with other people wanting to sabotage what they have built on their own. There is no possible way to understand how they respond to this unless you spend a SIGNIFICANT amount of time with them listening to various generations and keeping an entirely open mind to their points of view. They are an extremely patriotic people about their long history that pre-dates the establishment of this country merely 249 years ago. Great group, great culture, I served with them, I respect them. When they talk of self determination, they have a point…Comment
