It seems as if Turki is giving Dana a lot of control over boxing operations. As yet it's unclear exactly how much control that is, but Turki did say to Dana "I hand over boxing to you. You're the boss now!" Just hyperbole for the occasion, or was Turki serious and does he view Dana effectively as the CEO of all his future boxing operations?
Depending on how much leeway Turki gives Dana, there's a chance that the very integrity of The Ring magazine belt may be on the line. We may have the head of the UFC now in charge of Boxing's most prestigious belt! At the very least, he's now an influential factor.
Mauricio Sulaiman devalued the WBC belt by creating numerous sub-divisions such as Diamond, Eternal, Franchise and so on. There's a possibility that Dana will try to do something similar with the Ring belt. Whether that's splintering the belt like the WBC or some other modifications which could damage the belt's historical integrity. Even adjustments to the ranking process itself aren't entirely out of the question with Dana at the helm.
Could the integrity of The Ring Magazine belt be on the line with Dana White now in the picture?
