Fair enough, but the holding on for dear life is not only cowardly, but also completely illegal.

When Dirrell threw combinations with bad intentions, it was clear that Froch was just not in his league. He should have sat down on his punches more often and let loose. He could have won rather easily. Froch was just way too slow to trade with him. Froch has slow hands, no head movement and a very over rated chin. What the hell was Dirrell so scared of?

Dirrell let a lot of rounds pass with not much happening. Of course they are going to give those nothing rounds to Froch. Dirrell dominated all of the significant action, but by the nature of the scoring system, his leaving rounds up in the air opened the door for this loss.

But yeah, he still won more rounds and deserved to win the fight. The point deduction was B.S. because Froch fouled just as much with no penalty.

Dirrell's legs looked weak after the 4th or 5th round. I think it was a combination of:

      1. only arriving in the UK 6 days before the fight
      2. being nervous/apprehensive
      3. getting body slammed
      4. the rabbit punches

Froch sure as hell didn't land any significant punches, so why were Dirrell's legs like jelly? IMO, they both looked like very flawed fighters tonight, but Froch looked much worse. Dirrell also showed flashes of brilliance when he let his hands go, while Froch will obviously never be a world class fighter.

If anybody was being gay and fighting similar to that, it was Dirrell. Froch tried everything he could to make it a fight, but Dirrell turned it into a track meet and a hug fest like you are referring to. Don't get mad at this post, because like I said, I had Dirrell winning the fight myself. But Dirrell is not that good, and his style is horrible to watch. Froch is crude as fuck, but at least he tries to fight.

Well they let Floyd get away with a lot of Holding against Hatton, so we can not accuse the Englsih of any more robbery than we can our own country. Floyd cheated his ass off against Hatton and Cortez allowed Floyd to get away with every elbow, every forearm to the throat and every blow to the back of the head and he also let Floyd hold for dear life while all the time accusing Hatton of doing the cheating and holding when in fact it was Floyd.

Maybe Andre have learned something and use this as an advantage in his next fight.

i know bud thats where we defer in what we like in a fighter. i like dirrell the same reason i like pbf... they r elusive and fast as hell. i like the brawling matches but i appreciate so much more the defensive fast style... thats just me... i really loved dirrells performance tonight other than a few lackluster moments..

                  I like a good fight...but I also appreciate boxing.

Hell, I even appreciate defense quite alot, when its done aesthetically.

Dirrell and PBF are worlds apart. PBF makes defense look good, and even entertains with it. Dirrell, not so much.

Yeah, while I think Dirrell did win the fight, I can't believe how many people are talking like he was so impressive.

The constant holding on for dear life in the middle rounds, and the slipping to the canvas without being touched was just pathetic. He looked terrible.

Froch was even worse though lol
