He will withdraw, I hope it's true and not some publicity for a reason to withdraw. It was hard not cheering for him....

Hey guys, I'm back. That was Lou DiBella on the phone from Germany.

Lou said Jermain had a severe concussion and is in the hospital for precautionary reasons. He has had short term memory loss. Lou said he'll stay in the hospital for several days as a precaution. No decision has been made about his future in the tournament.

What do you think will happen with Jermain?
      Dan Rafael
      (11:04 PM)

Really don't know but I actually think he'll probably withdraw now.
      Mike Hawk (NYC)

if Taylor cannot continue who is in line to take his place?
      Dan Rafael
      (11:04 PM)

      Probably Allan Green.
I hope he does retire, because i hate to see any fighter get knocked out that many times as it is not healthy. A few more knockouts like that, and he can have long term damage. I like Taylor, and I'm pretty sure no one else wants to see him continue.

Please retire Jermain. Salvage what's left of a decent career and walk away.

I hope Jermain walks away. He just doesn't have it anymore.

He was always a flawed fighter, but in this tourney, his flaws will become even more magnified (if they weren't already).

Jermain Taylor is withdrawing from the tournament after this fight and A. Green is stepping in when the 2nd RD of fights are kicking in

Jermain can do more in the sport of boxing without having to fight, I think he would be a great trainer or mentor for boxers. The guy is too nice to get beat up any more like this.
