If Gervonta "Tank" Davis fought against Mikey Garcia & Vasily Lomachenko in his mid twenties (2017-2021?), how successful would he be?

Any other current fighter would jump at the opportunity to take similiar challenges to catapult themselves, not Davis it seems. Similar case with Ryan Garcia and De La Hoya.
Not chitting on Floyd but he was Tank’s advisor
Another reason he doesn’t take chances is cause he fills up the arena’s fighting these subpar opponents
He is making a ****load of money not having to take chances
Simple , quite effective and non toxic lol

Need to look no further that the UK who just sold out a stadium for two half ass boxers or wtv you wanna call them

Thé Brits are great fans but ……

Maidana was poop at 147 with his only notable win being broner? Yikes. If he had beaten near prime hoya Mosley cotto pac etc...but he didn't
Dunno enough on Hatton, but I can agree that Maidana has been a bit overrated seeing him get overwhelmed by a bloated super featherweight in Morales and being stopped quickly by Khan. He also doesn't have much wins outside of Victor Ortiz and Adrien Broner. Mayweather was at the end of his career however facing a formidable puncher.

Think his fight with Pacquiao was carefully delayed so Pacquiao's gas tank, handspeed and reflexes were delayed with age so Floyd could play out his strategy, but he was also in the downslide as the older fighter, the Filipino was still a dangerous fighter that went to beat Badley and Keith Thurman.

Just to note, for De La Hoya fight he jumped a division. Going from 140 to 154. Edit: I was wrong about jumping a division sorry, remembered it wrong.

I think it is interesting how a prime Oscar De La Hoya would had done considering that he didn't have steam on his punches as he did in the past and he was unscathed in the aftermath.

Without a doubt Mikey KO's Tank at 135 easy, Loma gets the job done at 130 too. 135 was prolly a step too high for Loma, 50/50 type of fight.

Tanks has a horrible low output style against Loma. Loma sidesteps Davis from the mid rounds and will start landing combos to the head while Davis takes a knee after accumulated damage.

Don’t know. Maybe he KO’s Mikey. He likely loses to Loma but we will never know.

natural = fullsize when they were young but its so normal for guys to move through divisions now. all those guys were full welterweights except manny pacquaio. full meaning they are hydrating like 10 pounds or more. even hatton because he struggled with 140. manny the only one cutting under 5 lbs.

all the "natural" welterweights, realistically move up and dont stay welterweights more often than not.

maidana was weird, he lost to khan, struggled with shot morales but almost beat floyd in the first fight. it wasnt all luck though if you watch the highlighs/fight breakdowns he did some good things with floyd, he trapped him /controlled space by taking a wide stance to keep floyd from laterally circling out, technical things that made it harder fight for floyd. floyd eventually adapted especially the second fight but maidana did little things that you dont see unless in slow motion to show he was pretty smart. maybe he is like a tyson fury and fights to his opposition idk.

floyd idk what was with him first fight, if it was age (he was 37 after all) or if he underestimated maidana also seemed like he didnt adapt as much as usual and idk if that was him actually struggling or him being stubborn and trying to prove a point and fight maidanas fight, second fight he controlled the space and pace way better didnt let maidana fight his fight.
