All the **** that Dirrell said he was going to do, he said he was going to knock out Froch. I hate fighters who talk all that **** and then run all night and then claim they were robbed. Dirrell is the better runner but running in a match all night does not win a fight on my score cards. Dirrell knows that if he does not run all night he get's knocked out.

All I saw for the majority of the rounds was Dirrell firing superficial shots towards Froch and then holding. All the while, Froch was battering him on the inside.

No what you saw was Froch rabbit punching on the break, that is about the only effective work he did.

Dirrell won this fight because he landed within the criteria the game is scored..........clean effective punching, fact.

Froch was dry humping, rabbit punching him and getting hit, thats about it so if you think he won you need to find another sport, quick.

You really expect, actually expect, for a yank to come over to the champions yard in Nottingham Arena and rob Froch of his title?

What I just watched wasn't a fight - it was a marathon with Dirrell almost breaking the world record.

Dear me, what a DISGRACE and the Americans are crying robbery?
LMFAO. All the score cards I have seen are very close either way.

And the complaints about the point deduction? LMFAO. Dirrell went down about 5 times within 3 rounds of his own accord and expected not to start irritating everyone? What a joke.

Next time I hope he engages - and gets the brutal KO that is coming to him.
Co sign bro ****ing Americans, how do you get the win running dropping to the floor and pot shotting every now and then. I watched on Showtime they weren't suprised by the outcome, close fight period.

Dirrel should have been deducted for the holding and going to the floor multiple times, you could argue Froch should have got 1 too for the behind head shots. But like Froch said what can he do when Dirrel just stays down there

        Shameful

He landed a few of these punches on the inside true. Most of them came behind the head though. And other than that he landed maybe 15-20 punches.

He should have thrown his jab more he could have actually done something. But he didn't and he fought a poor fight. No way in hell would I score that fight for him.

It's just that the judges get influenced by the home crowd who will cheer for anything.

100% agreed. Most cards have it around 1 point for Froch for Dirrell. Now, to call a fight that disgraceful and plain ugly a robbery - well.... we all know who the jokes are.

Wow, Hatton Tsyzu was a totally different fight... and anyway, that was Hatton applying all the pressure and making the fight (not that I agree with the holding.... Dave Parris is not a good ref IMO).
Dirrell said after the fight that he wasn't giving a warning before he was deducted the point. You tend to get a warning first and if you still continue, you get a point deducted.
On a non-boxing level...I thought he fought like a ***** for near half the fight but it was effective in a boxing sort of way. And then after the point deduction he certainly fought much better. If he had fought that way he would have maybe even knocked Froch down one or more times which would make it hard not to get a decision (or even a KO). But, who knows if he could have given the pace of a 12 round fight.

Hatton actually went really old school with the grappling. Boxers way back used to do the same to wear down their opponents and control the action. So with that, I understood it and also thought it was a smart decision to do against at 35+ year old, worn torn, inactive fighter that still carries power and timing. However, it was still bull**** given today's era of looking down on holding.

Dirrell was going to the canvas of his own accord so much I actually thought he was going to take a nap in the middle of the fight it was so bad.

You cannot waste over 2 minutes of a world championship fight ****ing around like Dirrell did and not expect to be penalised. Let's wake up people.

I compleetely agree blatant holding like this should always be penalized. I can't wait till King Arthur gets his hands on him.
