A serious question for those who believe Dirrell won

I see both sides on arguements. Froch hardly landed anything. And Dirrell seemed content to just box and move in the early rounds.

It was both of them, they both played a part in the holding. Froch held Direll so he could get at him and not deal with his fast hands, Dirrell held Froch so he could not really infight.

I disagree I think Dirrell initiated. A lot of the rabbit punches that Froch land (points should of been taken off for even maybe DQ'd) were initiated by Dirrell clinches. Especially I think it was round 6. That was horrible. Dirrell clinched than landed punches in that round. If I am not mistaken it was round 6. Dirrell should be DQ'd for clinching aswell you can go both ways. Both are agaisnt the rules.

I would rather be the one who is pressing the fight and chasing someone who was affraid of me, and also tying me up when i got close and complaining to the referee when i got inside.

Thats it! I don't pick winners of fights because I'm a ''fan'' of them. Sometimes you have to put that aside and score unbiasly. My cousin ( who bet on Dirrell) was even talking about how scared Dirrell was fighting and screamed his head off.

That's why, you have to seperate other's opinions from your own and see what really happened. If everyone in this forum all voted that they would rob a bank, would you join?

The porpose of me saying that wasn't to convince you to think like everyone else. I'm very big on individuality. I was simply pointing out that your opinion on this is severely in the minority of the active census. There's a reason for that and I'll let you guess what that reason is.

Chunk, boxing is about connecting without being hit. One cannot win a fight solely on workrate in a fairly scored fight. It just doesn't happen, I'm afraid.

I know the legesitics of the sport, but boxing clearly isn't that black and white mate.

Dirrell can't expect to come to Froch's hometown and get a decision fighting the way he did, sorry. Even his own corner told him he needed a KO in the 12th.

You need to be aggressive on away days, not run and hold and hope boxing suddenly becomes fair and that you'll get the right and honorable decision.

For what it's worth, i though Dirrell won, but the decision wasn't a shock at all.

How in any way, can you tell me that someone who fought extremely scared early in the fight, complaining to the referee every time Froch would get close, was barley throwing any punches, (and didn't start landing anything significant until after Froch was hurt) beat someone who was trying to press the fight and make it exciting? I give Direll credit for putting up a fight late and coming to Dirrell's home town, though IMO he lost.

This isn't a hate thread, and i think Andre will become a better fighter after this, but he was clearly out worked.

You ever sat beside a punter with their horse 5 back on the rails ,, the jockey is pulling him up , the tracks to wet ,they are cutting mine off blag blah they always talk like losers in the run ,,,,, mate the rules of boxing have Froch losing anyway you want to carve it , its not a tough man comp , its nots macho wins , its hit the guy more than he hits you and make them miss in return ,,, thats it .
