A serious question for those who believe Dirrell won

I agree, he didn't really do anything early on. And apart from all the holding, he was also ducking or bobbing his head about Froch's groin area. No idea what he was doing there Froch seemed to want a fight and Dirrell wanted to dance about.

How in any way, can you tell me that someone who fought extremely scared early in the fight, complaining to the referee every time Froch would get close, was barley throwing any punches, (and didn't start landing anything significant until after Froch was hurt) beat someone who was trying to press the fight and make it exciting? I give Direll credit for putting up a fight late and coming to Dirrell's home town, though IMO he lost.

This isn't a hate thread, and i think Andre will become a better fighter after this, but he was clearly out worked.

Dirrell wasn't landing anything either. You cannot come to someone's home town and run, plain and simple. It just doesn't look good for you. My point is that Froch was coming forward and was winning most of the early rounds based on that alone. What i do agree with, is that Dirrell did come on strong late ( which suprised me).

then i guess we should call he sport "coming foward" instead of boxing...

I agree with you. It was Dirrells fight to lose. He didnt fight as if he wanted to take the belt from Froch until it was too late.

Outworked with what? punches is how you outwork someone and as little as Dirrell was doing he was landing!!! more shots than Froch round by round so i dont know where on earth you are going with this.

Coming foward and making the fight is not!!! a scoring criteria, basically its irrelevant.

I dont care if Dirrell turned his back and literally ran away from Froch, you have to LAND punches to win a fight, Froch didnt and Dirrell did, end of story. If you want to make a case for Froch's aggression you cant because it wasnt EFFECTIVE, aggression becomes effective when you LAND punches.

Only if your opponent is not throwing punches and retreating, and not even counter punching. You give the rounds for the fighter who did more, and in many of the early rounds, that was clearly Froch.
