Very sad story but he was a good solid gatekeeper always fighting strongly each time out. RIP

Very sad to hear. I might be remembering a different fight, but wasn't he spanking a completely shopworn Margacheato before a cut stoppage?

I remember his first fight with Kell Brook in which I believe he won. Brook was badly gassed and hurt in that fight but Carson's lack of stamina or power really hurt him in that fight.

He just couldn't put him away. I thought he got jobbed on the scorecards. Brook was awarded a gift decision that night. In any case, RIP champ! You will be missed!

I remember him for two Brook fights. I felt like he won the first one. R.I.P warrior.

                  RIP my Oklahoma brother.

He kicked Margarito's ass - they robbed him of getting that W. Also gave Kell Brook all he could handle.

Damn, you wouldn’t think a throat surgery would be as risky as other types of surgery might be.

                    RIP Carson.
