Now Beterbiev fan boys! Here is the guy who taught Dmitry Bivol everything the kid knows. You know. The very detestable and contemptible boxing style that you guys all love to hate.

That slippery, slick boxing style of sticking and moving or hit without getting hit. All came from him. He is the epitome of the "Sweet Science" at its finest and purest! The all-time boxing great Willie Pep!

Which is the reason why the sport is called boxing and not fighting. You can't win without defense. There has to be a symmetrical and evenly proportional amount of hitting and not getting hit. In order for it to be considered ring generalship.

Well, technically you would think you can't win a round without throwing one punch.

However, I guess it's possible you might not lose the round, if the opponent missed every punch thrown.

Either way, Pep was a great defensively, and then you got the modern era greats like Pernell Whitaker and Floyd, who were difficult to hit cleanly.
