Andre Dirrell VS. Carl Froch.... 12 round, home town robbery!

I too wanted Dirrell to win, and he did, but he didn't do enough, and Carl Froch did NOTHING to win! He beat Dirrell in the back of the head, throw him down, punched after the ref said stop! 12 round, home town robbery!

Okay nice way to see what you want to see from my post and take it out of context to suit you. When I stated 'caught up with him' I referred to Froch actually hurting Dirrell, i.e. the couple of times when Dirrell really HAD to hold on. Which, by the way, it was pretty clear Dirrell did not do to Froch at any stage, despite having some quick hands at various points. No I am not arguing that Froch won this fight clearly, as I said due to the nature of the fight it was very hard to score and very subjective. Either way you scored it, it was a close fight and depends on what you look for as an individual in scoring.

All I was stating was Dirrell's negativity cost him the decision. Who knows, if he had come forward at any point bar one single 15 second period in the 12 rounds when they very briefly traded, he would very probably have won more rounds on the official cards. It's also likely however that had he done so, Froch would have had notably more success in catching Dirrell himself and perhaps to more devastating effect. Who knows.

I was impressed by Dirrell tonight, it's the first time I have seen him and hopefully he'll learn to be a bit more aggressive in future fights as he could really be a fixture at the very top.

If you saw it differently then fair enough, but not really any need to say someone knows nothing about boxing for disagreeing with you on a scorecard.

LMAO.. You clearly don't know anything about boxing...Dirrell had Froch on rubbery legs in the 9th round. What fight did you watch? Dirrell was NEVER hurt. Dirrell was the ONLY one that landed any meaningful power punches. Like I said if you had Froch winning more than 3 rounds; you are a bigger joke than the judges.

Dirrell won this clearly 114-113. how the hell can they score the fight for Froch?! A draw would make some sense but Froch did NOT win this. Dirrelll controlled it

i had it at least 115-113, dirrell controlled the first 4 rounds ,then the garden snake had middle rounds up to 9 and then the "CHAMPIONSHIP" rounds went to dirrell. except i think it was the 10th that was a tie. the only thing that froch won was the best looking b!tch contest, that b!tch he had in the pink color dress was smoking hot. better than that big forehead broad dre brought across the pond. i hated the fact that dirrell got on his bicycle, he used every inch of the 20x20 ft ring, but still had him winning the fight.i like andre but i dont see him winning any matches.he has AA next then the real DRE AFTER THAT ..

Did it look to you like Froch was hurt by that? He covered up for about 3 or 4 seconds then was the one coming back at Dirrell before the bell halted the action. To state that Dirrell was never hurt in the entire fight is somewhat baffling as he was forced to hold in the 8th for several exchanges running due to being caught with a hook. Not sure why you want to make it so personal by the way this is only a boxing forum lol.

crap call,Dirrell won 7 out of 12 rds at least. I see that he held but so did Froch while hitting behind the head (not to mention, his best punches of the night)

Not a good start to the tourney

If you knew anything about boxing; you would know he was holding because he can't fight on the inside. If you didn't see Froch was hurt then there is no need to continue this conversation. Thanks for playing.

With the point deduction, you cannot have a draw without an even round, something judges rarely give. If you had Dirrell by only one point, you don't think there's one round that someone might have seen the other way?

I personally had Dirrell winning it, even with the deduction, but it wasn't exactly highway robbery like some are claiming.
