  • HW Fights you'd like to see that are not necessarily relevant at the belt level

There are so many guys in the queue, as we all know Fury and Wilder created a log jam.

This stopped quite a few decent guys getting their bag: I am not talking about guys I think are awesome, but guys who maybe should have had a shot / or more limelight, as they would have had in previous, less political boxing eras.

    Here's a few matchups I like.

    1. Zhiang V Fury (Zhiang kills him, as Fury is a fraud)
    2. Miller V Makhmudhov. Two wannabees who should have more to give.
    3. Dubois V Ajagba. You have all written off Ajagba, but he's a good hw and a banana skin for anyone.
    4. Anderson V Ajagba. Take the risk. Both of you. Do or die.
    5. Itauma V Usyk. I know this is belt relevant, but has Usyk answered every question? He's done lots, but for me, hasn't stood guard as the top dog for long enough. Let's see him take on the promising but unproven prospect - I'd love the intrigue.

I'm interested in the fact that you didn't mention Bakole at all here. You thinking Ajagba is going to upset him?

I think Itauma would be better off going for Ajagba himself, or the winner of Ajagba-Bakole if he's pushing himself for that early title.

Since Fury is "retired", maybe AJ wants to be the dance partner for Zhang (I highly doubt AJ goes anywhere near Zhang or Bakole, unless it's a big money fight, such as Zhang in China or Bakole in Africa with Saudi backing).

Anderson isn't ready for any fights anywhere near the top. He looked terrible on Friday. He needs to decide if he even wants to stay in the sport. Miller or Makhmudov would both likely walk through him right now, for instance.

Makhmudov vs Hrgovic maybe? I don't think cheat Miller should get any more opportunities, personally.

Also, when are we going to see Richard Torrez Jr matched more aggressively? I'd like to see him vs someone with a name. Frank Sanchez maybe?

Wilder and Joshua are both washed but I'd still watch it. No chance of that one going the distance, both guys have no chin left.

Sounding like we might be getting Wilder v Ngannou...

On here, the narrative seems to be that no-one cares unless it's the top two (of their choosing).

Fury v Joshua is a bit obvious.

I agree with Ajagba v Anderson. I also want to see Itauma put in with someone at that kind of level. It's a probably a big step right now but would be very enlightening as to Itauma's level.

Bit of a weird one... feed Ruiz to Bakole. I don't think Bakole has proved himself to anywhere best the level others have. A win against Ruiz cements his top 10/contender ranking and consigns Ruiz to history. Alternatively it puts Ruiz right back into things.
